WE WELCOME VAULT 44.01 TO THE PCOR PARTNERSHIP!

Vault 44.01, named for the molecular mass of carbon dioxide, is on a mission to capture and store industrial carbon via near-site CCS—a strategy to capture and store carbon dioxide close to the source and thereby reduce the need for long-distance transportation where appropriate geological formations for permanent sequestration exist.

As a portfolio company of Grey Rock Investment Partners, Vault was formed in 2021 and is a leading CCS developer focused on the development, capitalization, and operation of carbon storage assets throughout North America. The company is contracted with seven ethanol plants targeting a total of 2.5 million tonnes per annum of carbon dioxide to be captured and sequestered and has submitted six Class VI permit applications to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Beyond ethanol-sector CCS, Vault is also engaged with industrial partners developing CCS projects in the power, hydrogen, forest products, and cement industries from the U.S. Gulf Coast to Canada. Vault has offices in Denver and Calgary.

“Multiple members of our team have collaborated with PCOR over the last 15+ years, and we have great respect for the organization’s high-quality work in advancing the CCS industry. We’re excited for Vault to be joining PCOR and working to advance our mutually aligned interest in bringing high-quality CCS projects to reality.”
