DOE Regional Partnerships

DOE Regional Partnerships

The PCOR Partnership is one of four partnerships operating under the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory Initiative to Accelerate CCUS (carbon capture, utilization, and storage). The PCOR Partnership region encompasses ten U.S. states and four Canadian provinces in the upper Great Plains and northwestern regions of North America.

The partnerships are evaluating numerous storage approaches to determine which are best suited for specific regions of the country. They are also identifying possible regulations and the necessary infrastructure requirements should our society determine that CO2 storage be deployed on a wide scale in the future.

Other regional partnerships include:

Midwest Regional Carbon Initiative (MRCI)

Southeast Regional CO2 Utilization and Storage Acceleration Partnership (SEACARB-USA)

Carbon Utilization and Storage Partnership of the Western United States (CUSP)
