Managing global carbon emissions is one of the most pressing environmental concerns of our time. Reducing CO2 emissions helps energy providers power the world with reliable, affordable, resilient electricity. Additionally, reducing carbon emissions helps address global climate change concerns.
Carbon management makes use of many technologies, which include carbon capture, utilization, and storage. The PCOR Partnership region has significant potential to reduce or offset anthropogenic CO2 emissions to the atmosphere by storing the carbon in the subsurface.
The region includes ten states (Alaska, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming) and four Canadian provinces (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan).
